All I wanted to do was to purchase some new clothes. Let me paint you a picture. I once wore a cropped orange hooded sweatshirt with a green mid-length jackets. I paired that with black leggings and gray running shoes. – I wish I was lying stating that I wore this to a college party.
One of my new years resolutions was to shock others with my fashion sense. – Which I learned by the help of ChatGBT and Youtube. (Shoutout)
However, no one told me the dread of shopping online.
I started shopping at the clothing store Dynamite. They had mutiple long seleeve pieces that looked substantial and high-end. However, when I hovered my mouse over a shirt I thought was perfect, I felt my face fall from an exicted wided eye look to a sideways face tilt while rolling my eyes. The perfect shirt was not in the color I wanted.
Time to go to a different clothing store.
I decided to go to Dynamite’s sister store Garage. I picked out a blue v-neck long seleeve shirt. “Finally!” I said – a shirt that I liked. I went to check out and the only payment option was for a gift card. I kept reloading the website and even used the app. The “Checkout” website would not allow me to use a credit card.
Time to go to a different clothing store.
I went to The Reformation online website. Within seconds I found the perfect shirt and a color that would complement me well. Upon clicking “Select a size” I was devastated.
It seemed like the world was against me updating my style. However, I was not going to quit!
I had the browser with the shirt open all day while constantly reloading it until my size was available. Eventually, there was a restock and I bought the top right away.
Just to recap, shopping online is dreadful for multiple reasons.
- Sizes are usually out of stock
- The shirt style is perfect but not in the color you prefer
- The shirt color is perfect but not in the style you prefer
- The website might be crashing out and not give you the correct payment option
- You can not try on the items online
- There is a chance you have to wait longer to get a shirt then to talk to a phone companies customer service personal.
